Booja-Booja Chocolate Salted Caramel Dairy Free Ice Cream has scooped Best Food Award 2017 at the Organic & Natural Business Product Awards, announced in the Spring 2018 edition of the Organic & Natural Business Magazine. Voted for by the retailers who sell organic products across the UK, and looking in particular for new product innovations, Booja-Booja delicious dairy free, gluten & soya free, organic ice cream has come out top beating a number of other entrants for the title.
Chocolate Salted Caramel is a truly exquisite chocolate caramel dairy-free ice cream made in Norfolk with chwoozles of salted caramel chocolate sauce using a clean recipe with five simple ingredients. Organic, delicious, vegan, gluten-free and soya-free, this ice cream has at least 70% less saturated fat than the leading dairy ice creams.
Instead of using processed plant-based milks, Booja-Booja ice cream bases are made using organic cashew nuts, are free from additives and preservatives and do not contain any refined sugars. Chocolate Salted Caramel uses sea salt harvested by hand in Cornwall and is sweetened with a touch of organic coconut syrup.
Commenting on the win, Louise Collins said: “We are absolutely delighted to win this award. It means so much to be voted the winner of the ‘Best Food’ category by the retailers who are selling our Dairy Free Ice Creams every day. Chocolate Salted Caramel, with its chwoozles of salted caramel sauce, is fast becoming a huge favourite with consumers so we’re really pleased that our stockists love it so much too. We’re particularly pleased that one of our Dairy Free Ice Creams has won such a broad category, up against so many great products. This is an exciting time for the free-from market, which is growing fast and becoming increasingly important, so we’re thrilled that retailers have voted our Dairy Free Ice Cream this year’s winner. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for us.”
