12 Days of… How to Have a Vegan Merry Christmas

Whether you’re approaching your first, second or twentieth Christmas as a vegan or maybe you’ve simply joined thousands of other Brits in one of this year’s biggest trends “flexitarianism”,  here are 12 ways, over the 12 days of Christmas, that you can add some shizazz to the sweet parts of your shindigs this season.  Have a vegan merry Christmas!

Day 1: Feeling Festive Freakshakes: Make an indulgent yet healthier than most, freakshake or milkshake (such as this one from the archives). Use any of our ice creams and add some seasonal flavours such as: cinnamon, allspice or ginger. Add a shot of brandy or your favourite liquor and top with your favourite festive biscuits or pretzels.

Day 5: Ice Cream filled Orange Pomander Balls: Scoop out your oranges, arrange your desired decorations around the skin e.g. cloves and red ribbon, and serve our Booja-Booja Chocolate Salted Caramel ice cream in the scooped out middle!

Day 6: Ice Cream Fizz Floats: Add a tablespoon of Booja-Booja’s Raspberry Ripple ice cream to a glass of your favourite Champagne or Prosecco. Serve in champagne glasses. Or try a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cup of your favourite black coffee.

Day 7: Getting Hygge With It: Everyone needs a special treat during the ceremonial wrapping of presents.  Crack open your favourite box of Booja-Booja and served with mulled wine or cider is your thing, the strong flavours of these drinks will go particularly well with our Almond & Sea Salt Caramel chocolates.

Day 8: Old School Favourites: You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Try generous dollops of either our Booja-Booja Caramel vanilla dairy free ice cream shmoozled with salted caramel pecan praline sauce on your vegan Christmas pudding and mince pies. The sweet and nutty texture of this ice cream is a great match with Christmas spices!

Day 9: Simple Sophistication: Serve our Raspberry Ripple ice cream – lushly smiling dairy free vanilla ice cream with trumpets of rippling raspberry sauce in elegant martini glasses served with your choice of seasonal berries.

Day 10: Deep-fried Ice Cream Midnight Feast: After a night spent listening to Christmas carols or post-drinks, head home for an indulgent midnight feast of deep-fried ice cream using any of our ice creams.

Day 11: Chai and Chocolate Nightcap: Fancy a wholesome nightcap for visiting friends or family? Make this delicious homemade chai recipe from Nurturing Kitchen and pair with our Booja-Booja chocolate truffles for the ultimate end to a festive night.

Day 12: Christmas Breakfast: Arguably the most important meal of the day. But ice cream for breakfast you say? Yep, it’s a thing. But only if it’s vegan, 70% less sat fat than leading dairy ice creams and make with a handful of fine organic ingredients. Booja-Booja can help with that then!  Add to pancakes, waffles or fresh fruit!
