Pompompous maple pecan & cherry affogato

Congratulations to our Guest Blogger, Emily Tapp, who was a winner at the recent Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2015 awards.  She returns with more stunning photos and a scrumptious recipe for this delicious Maple Pecan and Cherry Affogato. 

A single scoop of Booja Booja’s fabulously rich, creamily smooth, maple pecan dairy-free luxury Ice Cream Alternative shines in this Cherry Affogato.

The cherries will soak up the flavours of the espresso, as it slides down over the melting sides of the Ice Cream Alternative, adding an irresistible sweetness to the coffee.

A glass is filled with tart cherries followed with a scoop of the Ice Cream Alternative then all drowned in hot espresso, forming a delightful two minute dessert – not to be savoured over but devoured greedily in seconds to really appreciate the idyllic pairings of hot-cold, sweet-bitter, melting-frozen.





  • 1 scoop Pompompous Maple Pecan Ice Cream Alternative
  • 5 fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 shot hot freshly brewed espresso


  1. Fill your glass of choice with the pitted cherries and top with a scoop of the Ice Cream Alternative.
  2. Pour over the hot espresso, grab a spoon, devour.
